Yonsei University's Choi Hyung-chan expressed his mindset to start the draft.
The KBL will host the 2024 KBL Rookie Draft at Sono Arena in Goyang on Nov. 15.
A total of 42 players, including 28 players who are scheduled to graduate from college, nine players participating in this draft as early entries, and five players participating in the draft in a regular capacity, will challenge for the professional.
Yonsei University captain Choi Hyung-chan is also sweating to become a professional player, his ultimate goal, after four years of college.
메이저놀이터 "The result of the combination seems to be good for rain and jump, but it's a shame that my height came out a little smaller. I usually measure up to 188.8 centimeters, but I think it came out a little smaller this time," Choi said with a smile. "I think it's because I measured it in the morning before the combination and in the afternoon during the combination."
Contrary to what he said, "It's a shame to measure his height," Choi was tall at 187.6 centimeters, and ranked third overall in the lane agility category with 10.26 seconds. He also ranked fourth overall in the vertical jump with 70.96 centimeters. This means that even though he is a guard position, he has compliance with his height, quick focus, and good athletic ability.
As a member of Yonsei University, Choi has continued to grow every year for four years. As he is from Yonsei University where promising players gather at high school, he did not receive many opportunities in his lower grades. However, he gradually improved his skills under the supervision of coach Yoon Ho-jin and was able to finish his university career at Yonsei University.
In response, he said, "It was hard to go to college, but I think I was lucky. As such, I have many memories and pleasant memories. In particular, Coach Yun Ho-jin gave me a lot of opportunities, and I feel precious about the opportunity and I am grateful to the coach. I had frequent meetings with the coach and taught him a lot about the direction I should play basketball, and if I go to a professional, he taught me a lot mentally from the perspective of an actor. He taught me a lot in both basketball and personality," he said, expressing his gratitude to his teacher.
Finally, he said, "I want to be a piece that the team wants because professionals select players who are needed for the team. I want to become a player who can completely fill a piece without lacking any shortcomings and show good performance. In terms of defense and energy level, I want to be a player who gives me a shot when it's important."
Will Choi Hyung-chan, who has been drawing a growth curve every season, be able to become a player who grows up on the professional stage without being blocked.
